I can't stay away from you
We can't fight this
There' something more...just under your skin
The traces of your fingertips across my shoulders
My collarbone
My neck, my mouth
A thumb pushing away the saltwater on my cheeks
Your mouth turned down in frustration, and telling me you don't understand
But you don't say a word
You see the scratches on my arms
And you do speak now, and you ask me why I would do this
You pull the words out of me with no effort
My heartbroken story
How he left me
The first time I tried to end myself
The day I met you
The second time I tried
How you saved me
You manage to glue this broken girl together
Just a brush of your hands unravels her
You understand
You know
You don't care
Because you love me
We can't fight this

I'm Nothing.
Do you see the tears,
That fall down my face,
Do you know my fears?
That nothing can erase.
Do you know my story?
Would you like to hear?
It is not only of glory,
But of my suicidal fear.
Of why I use the blade,
Or sharp wire and pins,
To create these cuts I made,
A physical marker of my sins.
I do this because I'm nothing,
I matter to nobody It's true.
No joy do I ever bring,
Why do you think it would be different for you?
I can't hold on to life any longer,
It is just too hard for the likes of me.
I wish I could be stronger,
But I'm a prisoner here and long to be set free.

Hurts Like Heaven
Oh. My.
God, it hurts like heaven;
Longing for all your affection,
Every bit of your attention,
You're a divine intervention.
In this life that's turned to hell.
I can't help it when I reminisce,
In moments that are just like this,
I remember when we had our kiss,
And now how much I really miss,
You...
The times when we weren't separated,
Were the best memories that I've created,
To reunite is long awaited,
I feel like I'm incarcerated,
In my own personal hell.
I can't help it when I think of you...
I hope one day we'll say "I do."
But for now I have to struggle through,
Until the day I get to you...
It won't be long, lov
Literature
Never Mine
Can I ask you something?
Because I don't know where I stand,
And right now it's got me down enough,
To take my razor blade in hand.
Do you actually like me?
Wait. Do you even care?!
Why are you treating me like this?
Can't you see it's just not fair?!
I let you back in,
I honestly believed you this time,
But it was just another lie,
Because you were NEVER mine!

"Sometimes it lasts in love, sometimes it hurts instead...."
I gave the poem this title because when ever I read the second line I think of someone like you by Adele. Haha. I love Adele.
